I knew a fair few sisters who seemed to be obsessed with the subject of homosexuality. I wonder why that was so?

IS it possible that Paul was just a failed Pharisee that
by confusedandalone insaw an opening?.
if we look at christianity it appears that pauls teaching are what formulate it and not jesus.
paul often contradicts the words that are "supposedly" spoken by jesus repeatedly.

There's a novel entitled "The Mission" by Patrick Tilley that is based on the premise that Paul was actually a bad guy put in place by "Brax" ( Satan!) in order to sow discord.
It's very good, but also very difficult to get hold of.

Trying to overcome my homophobia.
by Julia Orwell ini had a music album by a gay guy before i was a jw and had no problem listening to it.
it's good music.
some of the lyrics are what you might call 'gay', that is there's some talk about boyfriends, gay bars, and queens and the intolerance the artist encountered as a gay man.

I don't care what anyone says, homosexuality is an unnatural thing and a certain degree of so-called 'homophobia' (gay agenda propaganda term, not a proper scientific or medical term) is totally natural.
I don't think that is the issue here. Some sexual practises are disliked by some, yet others will regard exactly the same practises as the sauces and pickles of a fulfilling sex life. One doesn't have to like something in order to be tolerant of it. I was quite taken aback at Ray Franz's hatred of what seemed to me to be quite normal aspects of foreplay and the way in which he referred to those things in such a derogatory manner. You don't have to like a thing to be tolerant of it, but I do feel that once you start labelling some practises as "degrading" or "unnatural" or whatever, then one has chosen to go down a very judgemental path.

Are JW's using different terminology for "congregation discipline"?
by booker-t ini have been out for over 20 years now and sometimes i run into a young jws on the street and the language seems to be "greek" to me.
i have a hard time understanding what they are talking about.

Back in the day, if you committed a DF'ing offence, you were either out on your ear or put "on probation".
Probations could be secret or public.
Probations always involved restrictions.
The worse case I ever encountered was a 14 year-old girl who had "committed" fornication. The sin was deemed public knowledge, so her probation terms were read to the entire congregation at the service meeting.
She was forbidden to ever be alone with a male, to never ever argue with her mother again, to spend 12 hours per month in the ministry, TV was limited to 1 hour a day and, - just get this - she had to be in bed at 9pm every night when there wasn't a meeting!
I sat in the KH and listened to this announcement. The sense of shame I felt at these revealtions as the girl just sat amongst us sobbing loudly will stay with me forever.

A question re the "organization".
by tim hooper ini'm trying to discover when jw's first came up with the idea, belief, or just the term "jehovah's organization".. a quick check of available wt cd's shows that the expression was already being well used in 1950. yet there doesn't seem to be any references to a "jehovah's organization" in much earlier jw publications, although i'm having difficulty going back beyond 1950.. has anyone any info as to how this all started and progressed to present day?.
i'm keen to know this.
the organization thing is a major part of jw teachings yet there's no references to such a thing in the scriptures.
